Hillary Duff The secret of beauty and fitness.

Hillary Duff The secret of beauty and fitness.

Hillary Duff has already lived many lives: she is a Disney star, a teen idol, a singer, an actress, a mother and even a one-time Brooklyn resident.  Are.  But at the end of the day, he is just a human being who loves the bredro fragrance and a nice three-figure serum, and apparently lives right on top of a SoulCycle.

In a new interview with the New York Times, Duff complements her extensive beauty - and proximity to boutique fitness classes - and her eye for products is clearly superior to her former DIY haircut skills.

Next, we break down each step of Duff's daily diet for conditioning treatments from her favorite mascara, which keeps her blonde hair bright.  We've already been glimpsed by the younger actress's social media presence that she's huge on hair and makeup changes, but her skincare routine is also epic, worth $ 1,244, to be precise.  No wonder she plays 20-something on TV.

It's no secret that Hillary Duff has a healthy and happy outlook on life - we've found ourselves pointing to the Younger actress in bathing suits for her so-called "flaws"  We do.  And jealous of her unique workout style.  And now, Duff is giving us another mantra - the importance of spending time outside.  He recently teamed up with Claritin to take the "20 Minutes of Spring" initiative, encouraging people to get out.

Sitting together on the roof of New York City, I can't help but tell Duff how upset I am that she's from Sunny Los Angeles, where it's easy to spend time outside the year.  But she offers a tip from her days working in New York: "I started knitting like I did 10 years ago, but whenever I would start working early and it would have been a good day, I would just park myself.  I used to make knits and it was very sweet, ”she says.  "Even if it's not your dog, just dogs going around or people enjoying outdoor activities, it makes you feel good, it makes you want to be a part of it."

Also, Weaving keeps Duff from mindless scrolling through her phone.  "You know what I mean, even on sets and stuff I feel like I'm in the habit of going on Instagram," she adds.  "I'm actually reading something that makes us have more bad neck wrinkles than our parents because we're constantly looking at our phones all day. It makes sense. It's really very bad for you  . "

Here, the actress opens up about the health of how food preparation has changed her eating habits, what she does to make her body and skin look her best, and find time for self-care.

On making time for food"I like preparing food for the entire week for success on the rest of the week," says Duff.  "I like to be naughty and eat delicious things, but when I dine, I find that I make some more sensible choices throughout the week."

To make the process easier, she cooks a bunch of vegetables on a large pan and roast them, then mixes them with protein and grains.  "I'll make some sweet potatoes, rice, grilled chicken, and then I have some containers that I can stuff with different stuff. And adding greens is always important."

Although it can be difficult to find time off meals, Duff says that shopping on weekends helps them more in routines.  She also likes to prepare ingredients that can be thrown together rather than simply making a full meal:

"I don't just love eating fruit, I like to put it in a salad," she says.  "And it's also so random, but I don't like eating a strawberry like a strawberry, so I slice it all over and it's all prepared in a container and then it's more edible for me in the same way and  I would actually eat them as opposed to spoiling in the container. I would put grapes with it or I would eat apples, or some other type of fruit with it so that it would look more appealing. "

This is especially important for Duff to make healthy food choices because he is allergic to gluten.  "I'm not completely free, but I have allergies and so it helps me avoid eating like a sandwich on the runway when I have fresh arugula to mix with rice and add chicken on top  Are, something like that.

You just have to be creative and figure out what you like and what you're going to dip into rather than actually grabbing something.  Because actually the reality is that I want to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches all day long. "

Recipes for healthy eating on her go

Duff is not afraid to deal with ambitious dishes.  "He's kinda gross to some people, [but] I like roasting chickens a lot, so I'm not gross with skin and stuff," she says.  "When you fry a whole chicken, it's really very easy, but you have to get under the skin and add spice to it and take out stuff and pretenders like that.

I just got so professional  Looks and then it comes out and it looks like. Like a restaurant it was like, 'That was me.'  But you can use coconut oil or you can use olive oil or salt and pepper. I am a spice person, so if it is a bit boring then I use hot sauce on everything to make it exciting.  Can put

One of my favorite recipes right now is on the Skinny Taste and it is with an eggplant and cottage cheese with a mixture of ricotta and mozzarella cheese, but it has no bread crumbs and you don't fry it, you bake it.  This is such a bomb.  "

Stay in shape

Duff works with a trainer and likes to move HIIT like squats, jumpers, and quick sprints on standard gym machines.  She explains, "I am a very hyper person, so it is good for me to get my energy out like this."  "It just feels good. On occasion it makes me more tired and at other times it makes me feel so good and I'm like, 'Yes, I've got this day, anything, get it my way  , I can do it. "  Also, I like drinking, indulging, and drinking alcohol, so thank God I like working, otherwise it would have been a big issue.  "

However, a friend of Duff's is trying to convince him to try a new workout.  "A friend of mine is trying to get me into swimming and I really like it, but it's just so much trouble because then my hair is wet and you look so horrible," she admits.  "I think I can leave the gym and not look terrible in front of other parents, but swimming is a total. It's good, I notice that my body is doing really well."

Duff just got a peloton bike: "I haven't used it yet, but I'm really excited, it's waiting for me in LA. I hike a lot, and then my trainer in LA just took my.  Started training some girlfriends. My backyard so that our kids will swim and we will keep an eye on them, because they are already old enough.  Will be in training. It's great. "

On her favorite workout gear

"I love Lulumon, I don't know what the style is called, but they are slightly higher-waisted," she says.  "I just wear black, I'm so boring. They're kinda fat, they catch you. I don't like skinny people, that's not enough for me. But I also like Aaliyah a lot. I would wear a few more shades of them.  Am. I don't mix my bra with my pants or anything like that. "

Duff however does not insist on putting together matching workout outfits.  "Some people look so cute and I like that I don't know ... I wear an old T-shirt and wear it and just wear sneakers. I'm a Nike person but I've actually got these shoes,  My friend K. Husband works at Allbirds, have you seen those people? They are really lightweight — I don't necessarily know they are great for support but they are really comfortable.  And look like Yijhi. I really like them. I'm also using a lot of them. "

On gaining confidence to post a no-makeup selfie

"I love makeup just as much as the next person," says Duff.  "When the bad days come, it definitely helps me feel a little better about myself. But I think that as I get older, I want to be happier and I will naturally feel my skin.  And feel more confident in the way my face is "how my body is.  "

Like everyone else, however, he has his good and bad days.  She says, "I have weeks where I'm like, 'I'm crushing it right now, I'm really good,' and the weeks where I don't want to feel the pressure of fitting in." If I really  I am having a very beautiful skin day, so I want to let my skin breathe and show it off.  So, I think it is important to find a balance and just be happy with ourselves, we are lucky here.  And to stay healthy.  "

For anyone wishing to adopt a similar positive outlook, Duff suggests watching the film Call Me to Your Name for its beautiful message.  "Dad gives the most beautiful speech at the end," she says.  "It's like, 'We have a heart and we have a body and we have a lifetime and it's yours. It's all yours. It doesn't matte."

On your beauty routine

Since he is often working under bright lights, "like if I have acne or breakout I'm disappointed," says Duff.  "I think it's the only thing people can see on my face and it makes me feel bad. I'm lucky that my skin is good and I do my best to take care of it and get facials often  . I have this lady. La. Who is obsessed with im, and he does these peels with roots and herbs and I am obsessed with it. "

When it comes to makeup, Duff says a product he always has on hand: "I use a mascara every day, Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara — I'm obsessed with it," she says.  "And I use Glossier Boy Brow. So, it helps to lift hair, and it's a little gel-like but powdery and has a little color so it's really cool."

Duff also likes RMS Eye Sheens.  "They are really very beautiful and they are organic which is good," she says.  "I'm not a stickler for organic products, but good when you can do it."

Right now on your favorite self-care activity

Duff tells us, "One of my favorite things, which is very important, is to take a little time for myself to take care of myself, and my new favorite is bathing."  To try it for herself, she says, take a hot bath, tear off the flower petals - anyhow - and throw them in the bath with essential oils.  "This is the most delightful, jovial time you can spend with yourself."
